With the spring hiring season ramping up, we are continuing to innovate our product with great new features that put time back into your day. This month, we have significantly improved Leadline's SMS and Email messaging capabilities.
Custom Email Templates ✉️ 📝
You can now write your own custom email templates! Email templates can also include SmartLines ("Hi, [#candidate name] . . .") for added personalization. Message templates can be authored in the Message Flows page.
⚠️ Note: While templates can be used by anyone, only authorized users with the 'Create and Edit Messaging Flows' permission can author and manage them. This setup encourages consistent communication from your team members to your candidates.
SMS Messaging Improvements 📱💬
Leadline can now quickly verify if a candidate's phone number is valid or invalid, to improve message deliverability. We have also added delivery receipts to the message details on the candidate profile.
International phone number handling
Additionally, after listening to feedback from the community - we have added rules in Leadline for handling candidates with international (non-U.S.) phone numbers. As Leadline's customer base is primarily staffing for candidates authorized to work in the United States, we believe this is the best way to balance efficiency with compliance.
All applicants can continue to apply to Leadline-powered jobs regardless of their phone number, but candidates are hidden on your submissions board by default - this is to reduce unwanted "noise" in your applicant piles. That being said, customers always have the option to use the filters feature to display applicants with international phone numbers.
⚠️ Note: SMS messages are never delivered to invalid or international phone numbers, regardless of whatever Messaging Flows you might have setup. Delivery receipts and failure reasons are available on the Candidate's profile.
Messaging Delivery/Failure Receipts 📤 📥
Leadline now handles delivery & error responses for email and SMS messages sent through the system. This allows users to get more insights and assurance as to whether a specific message was successfully delivered or not, including the reason.
Updated SMS Chat Widget
We significantly improved the UI and UX of our SMS Chat Widget, including a consolidated inbox (no more multiple chat bubbles 😎).
